2016 Building Brooklyn Award

The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce has announced the 2016 Building Brooklyn Awards, and Baxt Ingui is delighted that 20 Garden Place is the award winner for Historic Restoration. The project is the first certified passive house in a Landmark District, which was achieved by installing an air-sealing membrane and insulation from the interior, leaving the exterior facades intact, showing that historic preservation and energy efficient building can go hand in hand. We would like to thank everyone who made this project happen:

  • Eoin Killeen of Kleen Construction
  • Peter Garland of D’huy Engineering, Inc.
  • Bob Divilio of RJD Engineering
  • Kevin Brennan of Passive House Academy
  • Adam Romano from AEA
  • Sam McAfee of Fentrend
  • Shawn Henderson Interior Design
  • Gunn Landscape Architecture, PLLC
