Before & After – Garden Floor Kitchen

This remodel took a cramped parlor floor kitchen and moved it to the garden floor for a larger and more functional layout. The new staircase creates a compact, but direct connection between the two areas and the family members that occupy them. The two areas are designed to be used in tandem but can also function easily as separate living spaces. By removing the garden floor bearing wall, the new kitchen is now the full width of the house and two of the rear windows were combined into one large, folding door.
