BIA Interiors specified the decorative Heracleum II LED lamp (designed by Bertjan Pot, for Moooi) for this breakfast nook in a newly complete LEED Platinum, passive townhouse project by Baxt Ingui Architects. LED lighting makes up most of the lighting in the home.
Inspired by the Heracleum plant, commonly known as Queen Anne’s lace, the fixture is whimsical and airy, perfect for this space which is surrounded by windows and open to the garden.
The white leaves act as lenses that radiate from each branch of the fixture to create a very natural structure. Using the technique of coating conductive layers, the lamp is very thin and delicate. The beauty of the design is only possible with LED technology.
