“The figurative nature of the lines and vibrant colors of Michael Ingui’s paintings explore rhythm, movement and energy. The exhibition will include a select number of pieces from Black and White series as well as the Bridgeview series and more.
Michael Ingui has had solo shows in San Diego, a number of solo shows in NYC including a show hosted by One Art Space in 2012, and has been involved with many group shows and local artist groups. He was also one of the 4 artists included in “The New Abstractionists VII” at the Walter Wickiser Gallery. In 2008 Michael Ingui donated all of his paintings to benefit Starting Artists, a nonprofit community arts center that teaches media arts and entrepreneurship to Brooklyn’s teenagers.
Michael has won a Brooklyn Building Award for “Crescendo“, a permanent massive etched and pigmented glass installation for the MTA Arts for Transit located at the 105th Street subway station on the NYC’s “L” line. Crescendo was completed as a collaboration with the artisans of fabricator Franz Mayor of Munich.”
