More Open Hallways

These townhouse stairs are good examples of the typical centrally located townhouse stair, pulled away from fenestration and usually closed off from living spaces. The careful removal and shifting of partitions can create a notably different experience of a stair run when openness and exposure to the outdoors is more intentionally designed. These dramatic transformations brought a visual connection from the exterior into the stair hallways, which adds natural light and creates an awareness of the rest of the home.
