Reduce, Reuse, Recycle | Salvaged Wood

As we celebrate Earth Day this week, we stress the importance of being conscientious of our designs and materials. Bringing in new materials takes time, energy, and money. We appreciate the history that goes back over a century for many of the homes we have renovated using repurposed wood elements, wherever possible.

These cellar doors were brought in from the Owner’s previous Brooklyn townhouse.                                                                                                                                         Photography: John Muggenborg

This Brooklyn attic feels like a treehouse with reclaimed wood cladding the ceiling, wall structure, and floors.                                                                                                       Photography: Peter Peirce

This Brooklyn townhouse’s first life was as a dairy farm that used this door as the entrance to the chiller.                                                                             Photography: John Muggenborg
