Working in New York City often comes with its own unique challenges, and installing this tub in an upstairs bathroom was no exception. The crated tub weighed 2500 pounds, so carrying it up three flights of stairs was out of the question. Luckily, once a window was removed from the front room, the masonry opening was large enough to hoist the tub through it. The carting team re-crated the tub into a smaller container to ensure it fit through the window, craned the tub into the third floor window, and used a gantry to position the tub in place.
This is just one example of the difficulties we often face building in a dense city. To hear more about our experiences with urban builds, tune into The BS* and Beer Show tonight at 6:00 pm!
